FB SPECIAL HISTORY

Hi all can any one help me out?
I have just bought a FB special sedan and i am really interested to get some history on it like the original owner and a sales slip or something like that I have been searching but unable to find anything, and as i am new to the old holden car scene i do not have much info or any idea where to find it.
it has an "L" block in it which from my research is not original does any one know how to find out what the original engine number would have been?
any help would be much appricated as i would love to try and find an engine number that is close to original.
