How to post photos on the FB EK Holden Car Clubs of Australia Forum
1. You need to setup an online photo album and upload your images to this location. There are a number of places you can do this such as: http://www.photobucket.com/
http://www.imageshack.us/
http://tinypic.com/
You may need to resize your pic. Try http://www.irfanview.com/ It's free and easy to use, and the resize function let you choose exactly the size you want to set.
Follow the instructions according to the photo album you have selected to creatae and account and to load your photos from your computer and onto their website. Photo bucket is the recommended option and is used in the example below.
2. Use the link image section in Photobucket. Once you have uploaded your images make sure you have two windows open - one with the FB EK Forum in it and one with photobucket or your image hoster.
3. In the FB EK Forum start a new thread or hit reply to an existing one whatever appropriate and type some or all of the message pertaining to the image(s) to be linked.
4. Go back to Photobucket and you are provided with four codes beneath each picture - 'Email & IM', 'Direct Link' 'HTML Code' and 'IMG Code'. Inside the 'IMG Code' box will be text that shows the physical address of the image eg "[I-M-G]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v327/ ... re/fb4.jpg[/I-M-G]" NOTE - There is NO '-' between the letters IMG. I had to put that in to make it show here. Click on that text and it will highlight it. It will automatically copy it to your clipboard. Or you may have to copy the highlighted text by either pressing Ctrl and C on the keyboard or Edit and Copy at the top of your standard Microsoft menu bar.
5. Now go to the FB EK Forum where you had previously been typing in Step 3 and position the curser where you want your image to be and paste the link that you had copied in Step 4 by either CTRL and V on the keyboard or Edit and Paste at the top of your standard Microsoft menu bar.
6. You should now have your text that you typed and a link that you copied in Step 4 showing on your screen eg [I-M-G]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v327/ ... re/fb4.jpg[/I-M-G]
7. Repeat steps 3-5 as necessary to link all the images required. This method of attaching images will allow you to "Preview" your post and ensure that the images appear successfully. When you're happy with it, click "Post" and you're done!
8. When your post is submitted, you should have a picture showing - below is an example... a gratuitous shot of ValleyMist (Adam's) EK!

Re: How to post photos on the site
Gday Guys. Just wondering if there is other options to upload pics from other than photo bucket and the like. I do have an FB ( FACEBOOK) account, can pics be uploaded from there? Can I upload from my website URL? (I tried this but it didn't seem to work unless I wasnt doing it properly)
Ive used photo bucket in the past but we had problems as it seemed slow and had very limited space.

Re: How to post photos on the site
You should be able to upload pictures from anywhere on the net as long as you get it's properties information and wedge it between the two inage codes...
Like for example this one of your oldholden shed.

Re: How to post photos on the site
why not just choose the upload attachment part under the submit button?

Re: How to post photos on the site
I was on photobucket and found it super slow and i would resize pics and they would still show up massive.
Ive jumped ship to flickr easier faster and once you choose a resize or size it can make them auto change to that when forum posting.
