NZ Cars
Re: NZ Cars
Nice Pete, I spent two weeks cruising around the south island nearly ten years ago on my honeymoon. We only saw one FB! But it is such an awesome place to travel, I swear the hire car we had was part race car up in the hills....

Yummy EJ Wagon. But I like the A40 the best I'm afraid.

Re: NZ Cars
The only car of interest when I was over there was this Humber (Hillman Minx over here).
But it was in very good nick!
Scotty.

Re: NZ Cars
South Island always had more and better old cars then up North.... I bought an XR falcon wagon for 1800.00 back when I was 18 in Dunedin drove it home and sold it for 3k..... good money in them days. When we went to south Otago with dad as kids there were Jailbars and the like lined up under trees as windbreak, the Rod clubs seemed to clear a lot of those out about 30 years ago.
Funny thing is for all the talk of Old cars here, since before the Jap import days there were always more FB/EK's on the road in Aussie, 25 years ago we went across for Street machine nats in Wagga Wagga and I could see 3 road going regular use FB/EK's from my mates second story suburban flat in Sydney, at the time other then my car I would see about 1 other a year on the road here.
