So I've been searching for an EK wagon.. Can anyone tell me what the ''special'' has that the standard doesn't??

Sorry if that's a silly question!

The standards had different interior trim , and less outside bling. They had painted taillight surrounds , painted windscreen trim and headlight rings , etc.

Sunnytim has a strange affinity with them - but he IS from Queensland, they are all mad up there.

basically if the chrome is something that attracts you to an EK you will be a little disappointed off the top of my head I think the only external chrome is bumpers front and rear and grill and front blinkers and bar across bonnet
I think a standard auto wagon would be a quite rare thing to find also
sometimes yor just better off shitting in yor hands and clapping

SO is interior/dash all the same & just the external chrome the only thing?

Thanks guys! I think I may have my hands on a EK special wagon on Sunday! Fingers crossed!

The dash is the same as far as guages go but the dashes are chrome in the Specials and painted body colour in the Standards.

what blacky said re the interior no chrome and a more bland material used for seats and door trims usually not 2 toned

Thats Cameo Beige and it belongs to me. Now. I've had this wagon as a daily driver, family truckster for about seven years now. Getting a little tired but comes up great with a wash and polish. Have been thinking about moving it on for someone else to enjoy but haven't found a replacement.
