Some great looking Holdens
But for me wide whites on mid 60's to early 70's cars is all wrong. From memory if owners did lash out and spend money on a set of tyres in that time period they were thin whites.

That HK prem is what mine looked like (apart from the roof was body colour) before it was pinched :( .

What's worse is also seeing VK and VL Commodores with venetians and whitewalls

I agree with you on the white walls, but the pensioner pack came with rear window venetions to stop the owners Bowls hat from getting sun damaged

I had a VK Calais with the black venetian, and the little triangular ones in the C-pillar windows... I reckon'd they looked alright :P .. stopped the Daylight Savings from fading the trim.

Calais is long gone, but I ran across the venetian fitting instructions not that long ago.

Different is not always what its about.
A good looking custom must be pleasing to the eye.
if you check the other post, there is more information on the wagon conversions

i don't think white walls and venetians make a custom  don't mind venetians in commodores could live with thin whites on the right rims aswell, i don't think i'de do it unless the car came with them or i fell over a set but i also wouldn't think the car was anything special other than a tidy run around

 not sure if it's old school might have to have red rims, but then that's starting to border on a rat rod  but it would have to be flat black :ewink:
