Didn't spot that Harv, the more I look the more I like the sidecover and breather tube  I wonder if it's a one off owner job or an old custom item although I've seen a few finned sideplates I've never seen one like this.
It looks to be a cover plate over the original sideplate, what do you think?

Methinks the side plate is a one-off, sits nice and flush so may well be a cover over the original. Looks like the script on the side says "Holden" but I may well have gone blind staring at grey motor porn too long   . Looks like an SU top sitting up above the blower inlet too (suckthrough setup), carb linkage on the far right of the picture (alloy arm).

Cheers,
Harv.

Hi all,
just a quick pic of the grey for my current resto I've started. It's to be fitted up with a single side draught Weber @ Jack Meyers headers. Carb is a DCOE 40. Some head work and a mild cam is on the cards also. Have been toying with the idea of doing a full flow oil filter system as well. Time will tell!

Craig,

Cool induction setup 8) .

Does it clear the inner guards?

Cheers,
Harv.

Yes mate,
it sits nicely behind the battery box and with the air filter mounted it clears the inner guard and bonnet hinge by heaps.
I'm going this way as its a rare carby/manifold set up that you dont see very much, if at all. It took ages for me to track down the manifold and I've only ever seen one other in existence. It's also a good fit up as I dont need to cut and shut anything to fit it in plus the existing throttle will work well with just a very minor tweek.

Geez Dave, very nice triples 8) . Love the air cleaners.

Is that main linkage rod hex bar or round? I'm curious about how you mounted it through the cast manifold lugs - looks like a set of Speco uniballs cut down (?)

Cheers,
Harv

G'day Harv
It is round bar I modified the linkage on the carby to sit up higher
And just used the speco adjustable rods small ones
Have to run the rear one on a slight angle to clear the bracket on the firewall
But works fine
The air filters turned out great thanks to Dave for the pin striping

Cheers Dave

Cheers Mick
They are oil filler caps from a zephyr
Took me a bit to find 3 and with a few mods to the base
Had them on in no time

Cheers Dave
