Taren Point Rat Rod Day

Post by parisian62 »

Went to the Fathers Day Taren Point Rat Road Day yesterday. This event is organised by ozrodders http://ozrodders.com/. Had a great time...hot rods, rockabilly music...a great buzz....some jaw dropping stuff...

Looks like a good turn up and the weather gods were kind - that wagon looks a treat doesnt it !
When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

I think you'll find its run by Ray at Junkyard Classics. Not Oz Rodders, Oz Rodders is just a forum, with an off shoot being Oz-E-Rodders the first online Rod Club.... looked like a good turnout.
Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.

Seemed like a good turnout. I've never been before so hard to know what other years was like. Last year I think it rained a bit.

Devilrod, thanx for clearing that up. I wondered what the difference between Oz Rodders and Oz-E-Rodders was. Does Junkyard classics have a website or anything that you are aware of?

Regards

the REEL rat rod in the photo with rod hadfeilds pickup belongs to my mate, hard to beleive but it will be getting registered soon i was there designated driver we only got it driving on friday nite. the blue chevelle next to the yellow fb wagon also belongs to a mate of mine. and yes it was a great day, it did rain last year but was just as big as this year, the show always has had a fairly big turnout if yor not doing other things that day it's worth a look

it's a reel bitsa, the cab is a 40's model chev truck that has been chopped and chanelled over a '36 &*#@ chassis with a 318 polly chrysler engine and auto and a 9" diff it has a studebaker grille and home made tray, sitting in his workshop is a 6/71 supercharger for it aswell. we also go to quite a few shows where they have burnout comps and he will be entering the truck should be pretty kool
