Hi guys n girls,
We recently spent a very enjoyable day out at Hawks Nest and thought it would make a great lunch cruise destination!
So... meet up at Heatherbrae pies round 10:00 , Sunday May 30th.
Cruise up the highway, then take the Tea Gardens exit, through to Hawks Nest and pull up for lunch just behind the surf club - there's electric BBQ facilities, a cafe / bistro across the road and a playground for the littlies... something for everyone!
Hope to see you there,
Matt

Just giving this a "Bump".
I still plan on coming along.
Weather is suppose to be turning to crap this weekend...heavy rain on sunday ( test out those vacumn and single speed wipers..as well as your rubber seals ) if it gets as bad as they say its gunna be i will still make it to Heatherbrae.... down a pie or 2 and hang around until 11. If no-one turns up ... i will head home.

We will be there for a pie if it rains too Reddo.
but I'm hoping that the rain clouds will be blown away by then, and we will get out for a good cruise.

Hi All
Just finished typing up a full account of the day out .. then hit "close"instead of "Submitt"
Soo..... Here is an abbreviated version of the run.
3 FB's at Heatherbrae by 10..00am.
Brownbear and family in the wagon.
FB Cruisin and the family in the grey and white sedan
Me and Trish in the Panelvan.
"Billy Blackarrow "and "Oldholden" turned up in a T@#@ta 4x4 wagon just to enjoy the day out and talk old Holden whenever we stopped.
At The Pie shop....

They even erected a special sign to thank us for turning up....

It just dont feel right not having fins stickin outta ya bum...
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a150/ ... 280067.jpg
left about 10.30 and it was plain sailing with a 30 knot southerly blowing us up the Highway.
Arrived at the park in Hawks nest and the kids took off for the swings with the mums following close behind..

The boys stood around and solved all the FB problems in the world
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a150/ ... 280070.jpg.
Took a stroll over the beach..

Is it any wander they call this part of the world a Blue water wanderland... Who said we where in for a Cyclone today
Trish and i split and headed to Karuah for fish and chips as well as a sniff around the typically overpriced Antique shop with no early Holden bits to be found.
Thanks for a great day out guys.
All the cars ran great.
Lookin foward to the Nats now.. see yas there.

Not so much .. "a camera hog".... i just had trouble keepin up with those two red hot grey motors
so.... had to be content with collecting 3rd place when we got to Hawks Nest
Looking out the window here now... flogging down rain.. How lucky where we yesterday.
