Found this pic of an EK standard that we saw at a council dump in Benella Victoria back in 1988. It was a light green color. We had just bought my mate George's EK ute (which he still has) and were on our way back to Melbourne.
Plenty of old cars were just taken to the tip
I can't remember if we even took the H medallions off this done-up standard.
We took some bits off the ute
Apologies for my white sox, it was that crazy neo-rockabilly era!

A few Ads of cars for sale in the mid 90's in Unique Cars, I wonder if the persons who bought them still have them?

Incredible Tim, that's amazing.
Also of interest is the fitting of flash kits in recent years. i've not heard of that ever happening down here in Melbourne.
I could be wrong, but never seen anyone do it here.
Well done.

I was watching a DVD of where I live called the Camden Line.
I spotted this FB Ute with flashkit and thought you might be interested.
Video clips were done in 1962 so this ute wasen't that old.
Sorry about the quality I paused the DVD and used my Digital Camera.
Cheers

One of my original photos I have scanned and cropped. The Melbourne Motorshow 1960 with new FB's.
maybe it was 1959?
Notice the 'jazzed up' FB ute for the show!

Love the flash kits - thanks for bumping this thread!
I can't remember seeing one on an EH before...and despite always having the eye's peeled have certainly never come across one for an EJ in the last 25 years!

How hard are they to remove as I know of a flash kit on a wagon and may be able to get to it over the next week as long as the cars are still sitting in hiding and not scrapped, and next question is would a wagon kit fit or modded to a ute or van?

The kit will fit a sedan and wagon only except for around the fuel filler on the wagon is different unless it's a kit that runs on top of the original strip ute and van are all one piece on the quarter panel

Good one Wayne.
I see the guy didn't mind a mirror or 4!
