Well after a pretty torrid few weeks that involved a couple of spells in hospital last night I got back into the rattler Image
The tuner is back on deck and he is coming around on Saturday to do some fiddling around and then booking the dyno for next week if all is well ImageImage

Finished off and installed the cold air intake

Then put the freshly bogged and painted radiator top bracket and bonnet striker plate in

Went to close the bonnet and it wouldn’t fit in the hole Image had to get the porta power out and give it a tweak to get the bonnet to fit - it’s got a bit of a gap on the driver side but the passenger side is still touching the guard- close enough Image

Well yesterday was a fizzog- bloody thing is overheating within a few minutes of fire up , the O2 sensor decided to call it quits and now it’s leaking oil and the bastard has decided it is not going to shut down when you turn the key off all of a sudden 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Bloody cars ………..🙄🙄🙄🙄

Dieseling and overheating are both potential symptoms of inlet manifold leaking…..

It’s not dieseling , it’s just not shutting off until you pull the ignition relay out - haven’t had a chance to look at it yet but thinking maybe the diode in the alternator let go and it’s back feeding power or something along those lines

Well, pulled the front off it again tonight and found nothing out of the ordinary ImageImage next thing is check cam timing then check the radiator and water flow rate I guess - maybe an electric water pump after that
