Nice work with the shroud Nathan, it looks great. Was there welding involved, or all cutting, grinding and bending?

Cheers,
John

No welding at all, just a few templates made and then drawn in CAD (being a drafty comes in handy at times) and sent to the laser cutter for them to do all the work, a mate needed some other stuff cut so we did a joint job order to keep the cost down (saying that it would have been $88 on its own), then used a proper bender i had access to but you could do it all on a bench with time and patience... all up i have $63 in this piece and a bit of time (maybe 2 or 3 hours).

and it bolts up to the Radiator mounting bolts, the holes were slotted to allow for a bit of adjustment if required.

Cheers

Well funny how things turn out... i started avoiding out through the guard headers and I'm now going for the fender well style...

I was having some issues with the headers we built being a bit close with ignition leads, a learning curve for us but i did manage to get set of fender well headers in the end so going for a bit of function over form.

old ones off, guards are trimed and tidied up, little bit of wiring relocated and headers are getting coated for a bit of heat protection should have them back mid next week. Cut the holes a little bit larger than they probably need to be but that makes install just that slight bit easier... otherwise is obviously the same... should be back ruining the neighbourhood next week.

can confirm no steering lock, just need to spring the flexi brake hoses away a little (just for more clearance) but all is good. I know the 'ol hole in the guard isn't everyone's cup of tea but i don't mind it that match and it solved a few minor issues.

When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

one can neither confirm or deny the firing order haha but yeah think there was something out of sequence.

I was good for Friday not Saturday so for me will only be if current plans fall through (I'm hoping they do, the misses doesn't need to know :shh:  )
