Yeah, I googled it too Stewart and found (Blacky and Terry will like this) that there were a few Indian restaurants called Shalimar, so it would look like the colour name of "Shalimar Blue" and India are connected somehow...

my EK wagon will be parisian lilac...a have a small pot of parisian paint at home which I will post up tonight...my best description is mauve...depending on the light conditions you would swear it was nearly an off white unless you had a contrasting colour against it.

Interesting about the off white similarity.
As mine was originally described as cream on old rego papers.

Mines Argosy Turquoise and the Argosy seems like it might of come from an english term for a flotilla...(makes some sense being a sea green of sorts), or perhaps named from an english cargo plane....or some sci-fi books!
