A sunny evening at Flinders Street Melbourne intersecting market Street in July 1962..

An FB standard (Beige or lt.yellow?) comes to a halt as a smartly dressed MMTB (tramways) female staff member stops the traffic.
There is no tram stop. The passengers are waiting on the side of the road. They are going to board the Tramways bus as opposed to the tram due to the fact that the newly built King St. Overpass bridge had collapsed!
(That bridge has been scrapped and done away with in recent years)

Back then Rail & Tram staff had military style uniforms that looked great as opposed to todays: shirt, pants, jumper effort!

My mum and dad with our EK Ute at Echuca 1967 for a camping vacation.

Dad worked for a construction company called Bechtel. When they finished major construction projects, they'd sell of assets between projects. So dad saw an opportunity to get a cheap low mile, few years old ute.
It was factory ordered in the construction company color of dark yellow

The mark on the door was the damage done when the company sticker was taken off. The canopy was a stainless steel color
the small wheel trailer was borrowed, the tent was borrowed!

Ah yes, the Willy Ferry! I come from Williamstown and remember it fondly as a kid

with the old "Princes of tasmania" ferry in the background. It did the tassie trip for ages. I believe it used to be a pretty rough trip back then

Good picture
Thanks

When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

My guess would be Police impound yard ... due to the boats. Lots of FB-EK's there ...
