Hi Brett instead of stealing Sneezy's thread I thought I would bring this over here.
That heater tap has an ECU will it only run with the Vintage Air unit or could I just ditch the ECU and run an open or closed switch on the water tap.
Looks good value and might solve some problems but maybe need to simplify it

Yes Vintage Air has a thermostat controller. The other one looks just to be on/ off so may be a better bet. I suspect you can run the VA unit without the fancy stuff as an on/off but probably better buying the cheaper one if you go that way. Either way there are a few options out there on the web for electric taps.

Tripples are sold and heading to an LC XU1 in Sydney I believe. Still have the LJ XU1 manifold and CD175s but they need a lot of work.
The WW has proven to be a great carburetor and with very little tinkering has worked very well.
Now it's Holley's turn. First try out of the box and motor was awash with fuel. With Harv's suggestions on main jetting and power valves it's now a different story. Good running now and I can instantly feel the difference from the WW's capacity ( 280cfm I think) and the Holley's 350cfm. Will see how it goes longer term.

The firewall indent is telling me it needs tripples to be happy, but not happening at the moment....

Good to know the WW worked well. Is that the one I sold you?

I'm not sure Clay. I ended up with 4 of them. The one I put some effort into and used had a manual choke. Definitely your manifold though. Having troubles now with the 350 being too lean on the road. Consulting Harv.

Yes I've got a drawer full of them in various stages of assembly. That won't be the one I sent you if it's manual choke.

I'm sure you'll get the Holley running well.

Yes it's only a matter of jets and power valves and a few other minor fiddles. I like the feel of it already though.

Looks nice Brett,

I must admit for ease of tuning and keeping it there you can't beat a holley.

If you go webbers it can be painfull to keep the tune, although you wont see the full potential of the 6 without them.

Looking at the picture it floods me with memories, and yes i ended up with the webbers then back to the SU's then out with the 6 and into V8's.

Something is wrong with me ! Every car i have owned, it has been tested and tortured to get the best and the most power, a man just can't sit still !

Have fun with it.

Grey motors are a gateway drug to high performance shenanigans.
