more on stews new EK
Glad to say today the EK got its garage back so no more blazing sun, rain, morning dew, cat paws and birds with bowel problems.
The history I have only goes back about 18 years. It was a stock two tone grey&white EK special that was built up over a period of years but still used as an everyday car. It was then sold and kept for 8 years with hopes of dropping a 350 in it. Due to bad luck he had to part with the car and was sold to me!
The best description of the EK is on e-bay ;
Item number: 4567080601
I lost the auction but a week later I got a mail asking if I was still interested. So I flew to Taz an got the boat back.
The EK mods are all 10 years old an bits are missing here an there but hopfully the RWC an VIC plates arn't to far away. Ever since Mum&Dad sold the old "MINT AS!!!!!!"EK for $250 I just wanted one as soon as I could drive... an I am just stoked to say I have an EK in the garage!!!! An a meen one to GRrrrr
Any questions feal free to ask,,, an I will post up some more pics if you want to see them coz the members on this site have some mighty mad cars out there.

Hi All,
It's been a while since I been on and only a few things have been done on The EK but with my nite shift work and my daily driver getting a gremlin The EK has been paused for the last few months.
And does any one know what is a good indoor dust cover is for an EK?? Being cherry black it is a right dust magnet, even though it's still a joy to run the polishing cloth over the duco again,,, turning on the light sometimes is so sad to see it all dusty again.
Still needs some T.L.C. under the bonnet... the timing has been going out causing carby backfires and total loss of power still, and now the alternator needs replacing, but being out of reg it's hard to get anywhere and get it fixed. Plus the things that still needed to be fixed, but the exhaust will be the sadest bit to get replaced. The person who 1st built the car did a really nice job on getting the note and look just right, but it won't pass a roady as it's too loud and it has twin side pipes, one each side, just behind the back wheels.
So on the spare time I have had, I put some of the littlier thing's, like putting the extra's on, and just tidying up. Nothing Machanical since about December, so time really does fly by...
I had got a whole bunch of replacment rubbers and re-did all 4 door handles and 2 front lock rubbers and fitted chrome scratch plates to all 4 door's. Also changed over the 2 worn and very scratched front windows with some 2nd hand shiney clear ones, and new weather strips too the inner and outer of the window (at the top of the door and the bottom of the window) These were horrible little things to pop in. But each time it got easier, also took the inside window trim from 2 spare front doors and fitted them. I will get new ones eventually but for now they look ok, and stop the window rattles..
Replaced all the cracked light lenses and began to do all the door rubbers, but still lot's to do when I think about it.
I really want to get it on the road with it's plates that were bought last November, but with so much that has happend, the nationals seem a distant dream untill I get it driving and then I can restart the enginering and RWC thing all over again
But It'll be worth it !!!!!!!
Coz I so miss cruisin' in The EK
