2024 afterparty is go !!!!

Post by Blacky »

Righto kids, for the 6 or so of us still on here I am just putting the finishing touches on the itinerary for the afterparty.

Day 1 Monday June 10

Muster in Bunbury and head down to Busselton jetty for morning tea/breakfast
Travel to Dunsborough for a look around and laugh at the locals
Travel to Yallingup for lunch
Off to a winery for a tasting
Margaret River chocolate company
Beerfarm - my happy place 8) 8)
Cheese factory if its open- currently closed
Dinner at the pub or there is a heap of restaurants but its Monday so mostly closed. Motel is a short walk form the pub
Margaret River for the night - staying at Higgins Lane motel 08 9757 0220 tell them you are travelling with the FB/EK Holdens
$135 for a single king room $160 for a family room

Approximate travel distance for the day 125km

Day 2 Tuesday June 11

Breakfast at Drift Cafe at 8 - across the road from the motel
Check out a couple of local attractions - still working on this bit.
Drive to Augusta lighthouse - most south western point of Australia and have a poke around the area
Lunch at the pub
Drive to Beedelup Falls
Drive to Pemberton and have a look around.
Staying in the Pemberton pub - 08 9776 1017 rooms are $170/night - you're in W.A. now , get used to it ........... :esurprised:
Dinner at the pub - Pemberton isn't real big

Approximate travel distance for the day - 190km

Day 3 Wednesday June 12

Breakfast at the bakery then off to Walpole
Coffee stop - and a piddle stop for Sam - then off to Valley of the giants treetop walk in Tingledale
Then lunch at Ducketts Mill winery - one of our personal favourites
Then off to Denmark for a look around
Drive to Albany - stay at Albany motel and apartments as its right in town and a short walk to restaurants, cafes and a great Steakhouse , we have secured a discounted rate of $172 per night - you need to call and mention the FB/EK Holden tour to secure the rate - 08 9842 7670

Approximate travel distance for the day - 265 km

Day 4 Thursday June 13

Albany whaling station museum in the morning
back to town for lunch and a walk around - theres plenty to see in Albany
Anzac museum in the arvo - worth a look
I am guessing the women will stay in town and look at the shops  and the blokes will go to the museum
Dinner at the steakhouse

Approximate travel distance for the day - 50km

Day 5 Friday June 14

Up early and head off to Kojonup for smoko and a look through an antique shop
Lunch at Quindanning pub
Perth.
approximate travel distance for the day - 435km

Of course any of this is optional - you can do as much or as little as you please , last time we had people peel off and visit mates or look at stuff not on our itinerary , or only do a portion of the trip and bail out early or start late.

OK - accommodation for the Wednesday and Thursday nights
We scored a corporate rate with Albany motels and apartments - $172 per night need to call for the rate to apply and mention FB/EK Holden nationals tour 08 9842 7670. They are busy already and rooms are limited.

Sweet mate. Elle and I all booked. Adds up dunnit? Accomodation bill is up to $1900 for 11 nights including the trip over. We did go the fancy room at Bunbury. Well worth it for the trip. Now to try and pin down the cook on the flights.
