Re: Buckskin FB panel van
I'm curious as to the significance of the 333 at the bottom of the tag.
Could it be side windows?

Thanks Harv, very interesting. Never seen van with no tailgate window.

I’m be never driven one, but they reckon a blind van has really poor visibility of traffic alongside/behind.

Re: Buckskin FB panel van
333 was a regular option in FE/FC, because they came standard with an all-metal upper tailgate as standard, with the glass as an option.
In my experience there were more vans with the glass option than without, but maybe it was different back in the day.
I don't believe this was the case in FB/EK, the gate itself was made differently to FE/FC & the glass was a standard fitting.
Maybe because this van is such an early production build (168-A), the 333 was still being stamped in early FB.

Finally rear brakes off. Drums are very good meat wise. One may require truing up a bit. They were hell to get off. Finned ones...

Drastic measures....That pretty well completes the deconstruction. I don't suppose anyone is in need of a stock 3.89:1 centre? There is a run to the scrap merchant due.
