Manual gear lever knob

Post by timbo.ambo »

Hi again everyone.

The black gear lever knob broke in half under my enormous superhero strength while I was driving the other day. After the special badge breakage, I’m hoping things don’t happen in threes!

When I looked carefully at it, considering Araldite, there seems to be lots of micro cracks in the Bakelite 🙁

I found one on eBay for $166. I think it was solid gold and painted black.

Would anyone possibly have a spare? Willing to pay for the knob and postage.

One of the members in our club gave me one that his mate had machined out of black plastic, it looks very close to an original one- I will ask him if he has any more of them
When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

Have asked him mate, waiting on an answer - we might be able to coax him into doing a run of them, anyone else interested ??????
