Deconstructed loomImage
It's the only way I can get it to fit properly. I replaced all the burnt bits from the Yunta incident.

Hoping to make November 13 cruise but a few family events in the meantime. Need some loom tape.

Thanks Greg. Trying to keep it looking more original, well in some ways. Good old Rares have it.

In the way of a lighting upgrade, I bought a pair of 55/60W halogen globes to fit the original Bosch lenses. I got these from Anthony Pearson of classic and vintage globes here in Adelaide. Anthony says it really is not necessary to run these by relays. He could have sold me one but pretty much refused. I did run H4s in the sedan for years with no dramas. Globes were $75 the pair.Image

I run Anthony’s halogens in Graces ute. They are a lot better than the original incandescent bulbs (despite Joseph lucas’ advice, a gentle(wo)man does motor about after dark).

Cheers,

Rocker and clutch cover, slave, exhaust, heater done. Linkages are a tight fit and need some bending or clearencing to floor. Will chat with RH about this. Slave hose inlet is close to subframe inner leg. I may jiggle the driveline over a tad just taking up slack. Already did this with mounting slave.

Started measuring driveline angles. Carbs are at zero horizontal. Engine 5.5 deg up to front. Diff 0.5deg up. I will have to put some wedges in the back at some stage by the looks.

The tailshaft got a second coat of metalfix. Should have used this on the box as well as it is good match to the original Aussie box colour.Image

No, the wattage is low enough that it does not trip the breaker. They are a nice bolt-in change... not as bright as a set of 130/90s, but a lot less fuss.

I reckoned the paint on taolshaft dry enough so spent half the day wrestling with uni joints. Lost most of the oil when I pulled the yolk so syringed it back in until full, which left me with surplus. Tailshaft in and underneath more or less buttoned up.Image
Installed booster. Decided to 2k as the dichromate finish was irredeemable.ImageSunday arvo shed session mate Simon assisted myself in installing the bonnet. Starting to look roadable. Image
