Triple strommys for the grey motor

Post by fingers »

Thanks Harve for the manifold and bits and pieces ..all done ready to bolt up tomorrow ...the carbs have been recoloured and bolt ons replated....reamed and fitted over sized throttle shafts ,fitted the 48 main jets and 70 bypass jets you supplied ,it's a pretty warm motor so will try without Venturi restricters , if needed can do them later also fitted nos idle screws ,nos choke levers and new needle and seats , machined all the surfaces flat ,new gaskets and made up double flared steel fuel lines cheap fire insurance over rubber I reckon ...will put some photos up tonite

When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

Sounds good, all the power of an ls-1 don't stack up to the sound of a lumpy old grey! Power is nothing without the sound or attitude!

Hey Fingers, I have been trying to find a video to listen to the sound of the 82 grind cam and I just came across this.
Video doesn't seen to be working, is there any way of being able to listen to it?

How has the motor been going for ya?

PM me a mobile number, and I’ll send you video of Graces ute idling. Can’t work out how to upload video, and YouTube is no longer talking to me.

Cheers,
Harv
