When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

My dad has a complete ek white with blue roof and black interior has been sitting undercover for a little while but complete and will have a full service and cleaned right up before sold. It does have some rust but not much doesn’t these days. Located in Sydney let me know if this would be something you could be interested in. He has been meaning to put it up for sale but through health issues between him and myself we havnt had the chance to pull it out and clean it back up.

Sorry to hi-jack topic but can't seem to find where to start my own new post. Yes looked at FAQ but no options for me at bottom of page as stated.
Ok looking to purchase my first EK wagon and need advice on pricing (I know can of worms etc..). I'm not new to old holden projects, mainly FJ/FX,EH. Have been looking for about 12 months for an FB/EK wagon, and one has come up for sale, running, driving, and in what I would say 95% rust free.
Asking $25k, rust in 2 doors small dent in bonnet and on lip of rear wheel arch, a bit concerned with spots of rust around gutters on roof, seems to be pitting, but mainly surface. Chrome avg. Floors, sills, front sub frame, and general body excellent for 50+ years, they have 4 replacement doors, tailgate, and bonnet all in rust free condition. Car could actually be a daily drive as is , it had a RWC 2 months ago and is on Club plates. Plans to resto mod down the track. I'm thinking $20k is a fare price or do we think that's to much, I know prices have soared, but what ball park are people thinking out there, all advice welcomed.
Thanks for any imput.

$20 sounds reasonable in today's market, for a pretty good driving car. Any more it wants to be pretty good. If it is complete and running well I would buy it. Subject to be I g confident about the rust in the roof channels. Pull it apart and you will find rust in any original car and also many apparently restored ones.

Front subframe and inner sills and body members would need to be nice and sound. It's tricky because they rust from the inside out. Flush out and fish oil when you get it but you know that I suppose. Suspension and brakes are easy and not too dear but no t or want a to have plenty of life in it at that price.

take it for the asking price with a current roadworthy, otherwise you will never get it registered anywhere.
plan on about 20k to fix the roof if getting fixed at a shop.

Thanks for all your advice, yes plan on pulling off chrome to have a better look at rust around roof area, very solid under body, sills and front sub frame. I would say very solid all over. but we all know looks can be deceiving, once you start diving in, but hey it's 50+ years young.
The guys taking it for the RWC tomorrow, the mechanic who did it last time says it will pass no problems, happy days. Just got to get it back to Phillip Is. a bit hard with this covid thing, and wifey recovering from back surgery.
