Yep, but in no rush. Only the FB is missing the contacts, and it is likely to sit in the shed for a while whilst the brakes etc are sorted. I’ll see how Mr Black goes, and if successful will be happy to sponsor an import batch (kinda like the hydramatic filters I did).

Cheers,

I donated a set of contacts to one of our members who is 99.9% of the way through a resto - he was going to have a crack at making them fit as it was the last piece in his puzzle - I havent heard from him as to how successful it was , will PM him now ........

from memory, in one of my buying sprees, I picked up a NOS contact (knowing me I could have a couple)

I'm in WA at the moment but planning on heading back to the ACT soonish.

I can check then, if anyone really needs one (I remember paying more than what I've seen in these posts though - so maybe I'm 'stuck' with it/them)

Hi Blacky I would like to add my interest to buy 1 or 2 if you decide to make them I bought one from early Bitz which was in 3parts with what looked like a copper cotter pin going the spring into a brass bush it works but I have used a fair bit of conducting grease on the plate. Fingers crossed we can get to the Nationals and back with a working horn! :half: :half:

That's the type I found in Grace's ute. Pretty robust. All the others I have had have been the "spring with wire soldered inside it" versions. They are not so robust... if you don't remember to disconnect the horn before pulling the steering wheel, they arc out readily. The wire/spring glows incandescent hot... then lets out the magic smoke.

Don't ask me how I know, but you'd think a bloke would learn after the second time

Was that from Danchuck in the states? Let me know the part number and I'll order a few to pay you back
yeah it was a Danchuk one , the part number was on the bag ????
