Vz dash into an ek

Post by DaveEK »

Hey guys building an ek at the moment and in the process of putting a V6 supercharged into it. Ek dash has had a very bad hack job from previous owner which can be fixed but my donor car had a nice vz dash in it. With the right cutting and retrimming I think I could make it work nicely. What are your thoughts? This is my ek at the moment

I’m not going for an original look

Would be clever snd novel but not my cup of tea Dave. The original dash is one of my favourite features. But hey it’s your car and would be interesting to observe the process. I sold a dash cut to a guy who was reversing a conversion he had done 20 years ago when it was more of a thing. Original cuts aren’t that hard to come by.

Yeh I’m tossing up because mine had the vn dash moulded in and looked really bad I have a dash cut to reverse it but I like the idea of a removable dash and something a little different. Done right I think it could be nice but can be very ugly if rushed

Did the measurements today and the vz dash is only 70mm too wide so that should be fine with some trimming
