Horn Contact Spacer Parts

Post by EffBee »

Hey guys I am chasing some small bits of the horn assembly that are proving somewhat elusive.

1. The 3 bakelight spacers with small internal screws ( 16 in the FB workshop manual)
2. The 3 pan head screws and washers ( 17 & 18 in the FB workshop manual)
3. The cir clip that holds the horn button on ( 8 in the FB workshop manual)
4. The horn contact and spring assembly (5 & 6 in the FB workshop manual) Some dude wants $250 for this on eBay?? wtf

These bits are all pretty hard to come by so opportunists will hike the prices.

Hi Effbee
I made my own spacers on the lathe out of some nylon bar stock. For the screws & washers you could try Classic Fasteners in S.A, they have a good website too.

I am guessing that will be a certain thief from West Swan ?????

I have all of that except for the contact , but I am away for the next week or so for work .......

do you have any of the old horn contact - specifically the brass end bit ? The rest can be made

Ah yes old mate from West Swan would be one of the thieves, the other would also be well known in the form of Earlybitz on ebay, he wanted $250 just for the contact.
I'm heading up to work tomorrow as well for 2 weeks, I'll give you a call when I get back and work out a time to drop up and see you. Hopefully we can do a deal :D :D
