Door rubbers across rear hinges

Hi Guys,

What have people done in relation to the rear door rubbers across the rear door hinges ?

Its been a long time since I've seen an original one but from memory it was flat across the hinge.

Just glued it across the top of the hinge and it gets pressed flat over time
