Re: Red Rattler Revamp
Got a day on it today, got a bit done -
Ran out of bits so hopefully tomorrow can get hold of them and get some more done.

When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

I suspect Mr Black has one of those fancy ribbed pulleys to go onto that balancer... to feed this thing:

Re: Red Rattler Revamp
Correct Mr Harv , got a couple more bits on today, took a while to get the manifolds all bolted up nicely as the custom 13/4" primary pipes on the Brodie built extractors make for very tight tolerances , they fit beautifully but getting the right fasteners involved a couple of trips to pick up different bolts to get it all buttoned up

Now I get it !!!!!!
Looks close to the firewall still, will that bit at the back hit with the engine torque ?
Does look great I must admit.

Re: Red Rattler Revamp
Is that the latest model Stromberg?
Re: Red Rattler Revamp
I really hope so
AFAIK, Stromberg didn't make huffers, though they did make some complex, funky floatless carbs for aircraft - cutaway version below:

Re: Red Rattler Revamp
Hey Blacky does the blower put much weight/pressure against the driver side engine mount or have you compensated for it?
