ute seat location
ute seat location
Would there be any reason why the seat rails in the ute won't line up with the holes in the floor
the rails are about 100mm short of the holes
its a ute seat can't work it out any ideas
thanks greg

Re: ute seat location
in width or length ? can you post a pic ????
When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

Re: ute seat location
These may help:
On the seat:
Rear mounting has 4 bolts. Outer bolts are 1210mm apart (centre to centre). Inner bolts are 1080mm apart (centre to centre).
The rear of the front mounting foot is 285mm in front of the rear mounting holes. The front of the front mounting foot is 365mm in front of the rear mounting holes.
On the floor:
Rear mounting holes are 210mm forward of cabin rear wall.
Front mounting holes are 350mm forward of rear mounting holes.
Dimensions are rough, but will give you an idea.
Cheers,
Harv

Re: ute seat location
thanks harv
will go and recheck hole placements
the reason l asked the question was that the rails themselves were about 100mm short
l was thinking maybe the rails were from maybe fe fc but that have different connections at rear
will try and get some pics up
thanks greg

Re: ute seat location
The seat should have two bolt holes on each of the two rear legs. You use 2x2=4 bolts to mount the two rear legs to the floorpan.
On the front seat legs, there are no bolts... just a "foot". The foot sits on the floor. There are two C-shaped brackets that go over the two feet. The two C-shaped brackets have 2 bolt holes each (i.e. you use another four bolts to mount the two front feet to the floorpan via the C-shaped brackets).

Harv

Re: ute seat location
Hi Greg
As you say, FE to EK floor pans are identical in practice, as are the seat runner dimensions. Seems to me either non standard seat or been modified to fit another vehicle.

Re: ute seat location
Did you end up working out what the problem was that was causing the misalignment (seat or floorpan)?
