Queensland Mob On Their Way
Queensland Mob On Their Way
Four cars set out yesterday from Brisbane for Mandurah, made Walgett for the night with a few dramas but still moving on to Broken Hill today. Another is already on the Nullarbor after an oil problem in the rockers causing a bent push rod in Gilgandra. Help from the local community of Holden enthusiasts saw a replacement set of rockers and push rod supplied and fitted. Thanks especially to Steve Arforth from Armatree for his generous help.
Hopefully all will continue to go well and we'll see you all in Mandurah at the end of the week.

The excitement is building as we all begin our journeys from all points. It’s good to follow these stories and pictures on the 2018 FBEK Nationals Facebook page. The WA club welcomes everyone and are looking forward to hearing all the stories.

Four cars are now in Ceduna, ready for the launch across the plain tomorrow, all going well at this stage, belly full of oysters at Smoky Bay. The other car is hunkered down in Hopetoun waiting for the wind to subside, heading for Albany tomorrow hoping they have power restored after being battered by the winds.

Hopetoun !!! Be careful , they eat their young down those parts ......
When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

Re: Queensland Mob On Their Way
The Hopetoun locals must have eaten all their young, there's no one left there.
Re: Queensland Mob On Their Way
The Queensland Mob arrived in Mandurah yesterday, unscathed from the trip across the country, no major troubles unless you call losing second gear for a couple of hundred k major. Had a good night last night at the Meet & Greet and the WA Club is really turning it on, sign in brekky and a cruise this morning. Looking forward to a great weekend.
