got a call from a panel shop in Perth today looking for bits to repair it - it needs a subframe and a front crossmember  , apparently its bent - must have been a hell of a hit !!! makes you wonder if the motor and box are damaged seeing as it has hit almost dead centre .....
Insured for $30k and the owner wants it fixed so fingers crossed he gets his wish .... and brings it to the nationals :D
I normally only sell (or give) bits to club members but this time I will make an exception ......

The West Swan robbers do have that subchassis Blacky but a $3500 it is pricey but I suppose if the insurance is paying!!!!!!

It's like we've said before if you don't have it and need it you will pay it I suppose.

Fark me!! $3500 for a subframe is ridiculous. Insurance money would not be enough left to fix it paying for bits at prices like that.

Good onya Blacky. That's the spirit.

Sad to see the crash damage but glad it's getting fixed - not many panel shops will touch them for that exact reason - they spend so much time sourcing parts and getting quotes they almost always get rejected by insurance co and written off.

Note to us all to make sure we dont under insure and insure for the repair costs - not what re-sale value is within the clubs - for a good restored FB EK you should be looking 40k plus these days

Good job for helping out black but dont undersell your stuff to an insurance co - jack it up then you can sell to us for half the price :grinnn:

I tried 3 panel shops who all said no thanks before back to life took it on and even then a repair on front guard and door was quoted 8K with no replacement panels. So I'd say 25k wont go far on that car and wont be enough if engine and box damaged beyond repair.
