14 inch steel rims

Post by Eeek »

I picked up a new set of steel 14" rims for my EK. I have standard drums all around. What has people done to seat rims on drums correctly? The little raised lugs on the face of the drums stop the wheels from sitting flush. Any way to get around this?

Here we go. Been a long discussion on this. Fit EJ EH drums. From memory they fit on the FB EK backing plates and hubs. Otherwise you have to change the rear axle of course. There is a mob in WA I hear that can convert your original centres to 14 or 15" but it makes for a heavy rim as they turn down the 13" rim to fit inside the larger one. Got some drums you can try if you want to tootle down to Willunga in the holidays.
