So I have totally lost my mind !!

After waiting 6 months for a spray shop to do the car associate 1 comes back at me with $20000 for a top paint job ! See ya !
Mate 2 rents a part of a shop and is all keen to go but then he has a temper and has a disagreement with the owner and now is kicked out and has moved to a shop over 80k's from where I live. Ok Ok I'll try a local, we don't paint that way and we use a better brand of paint from china !!!! See Ya again !
So I buy and install a almost spray booth !!!!! Good enough for me and all the stupid cars I have that give me grief :evilll: :evilll:
I have also had my race car fixed from a tussle with a carport post at the race track so there goes almost another year.

I am waiting on the curtains to be extended and the so called booth is ready for action !
So sleeves up and here we go paint, I've done a few cars before and made mistakes so that should help, wish me luck !!

When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

I had to get used to the HVLP gun but it went ok with only a couple of runs, which was my own fault for holding the spray fan to close.

The next practice bit will be the sub frame and I plan to blast it tomorrow if the weathers right.

Hot today but I managed the sandblasting of the front end covered head to toe with protective gear on ! I also welded some saddles to the side for the hidden wiring trick.

Yes Jay a good question,

So I have modified the car extensively underneath and part me feels guilty for doing that, and I also have a small fantasy of being young again ( I was 18 when I got the car now 50 ) so I have decided to go the original colour.
That may still be a secret though cause I've used many different coloured bits to get the body right where I am happy, keep you all guessing !!!!!
