Bay to Birdwood 2017

Post by In the Shed »

Hi Folks,

Did the Bay to Birdwood (B2B) for vehicles 1956 - 1985 just the other week with my 10 yr old daughter who has been itching to do it since she was passed over in 2015 for my dad. Normally you need a crow bar to prise her out of bed in the morning to go to school. I set the alarm for 6.30 so we could get ready to leave by 7.00. On Sunday morning she was up before 6.30 saying c'mon Dad get up we gotta get the ute out!! My wife remarked "wish it was the B2B every morning!

We set off in time and the conversation went something like this.....

Me, do you want the heater on Olivia?
O, Dad there is no heater

Me, do you want the radio on Olivia?
O, Dad there is no radio

Me, do you want to charge your iPod Olivia?
O, Dad there is no cigarette lighter socket!

Me, do you want your seat heater on (kids of today are spoilt)?
O, Dad there is no seat heater!

And on it went........... We had a good day. Now the pressure is on to get my outfit ready in time so she can go in the sidecar for the 2018 B2B (next year is pre 1956 vehicles). I've got 50 weeks!!

Some pictures of cars that took my fancy.

Regards
Stephen

Cool pics, its good to get the young'uns involved 8)
When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.
