Shed find ute

Post by WesternWagon »

Picked up a Valletta Green EK Standard ute today.

Has been in a shed in Mukinbudin, in the WA wheatbelt for the last 27 years. Dropped some fuel down the throat of the Stromberg and the ol Grey jumped into life 8)

Plan to clean, polish and drive.

Needs some minor rust repairs and some sub frame love, otherwise very solid.

Pics as soon as i can work out this new bloody Photo bucket.

Cheers

Gazza

When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

Nice find - hope it scrubs up well.
Looks like I'm going to have to start looking out for a blue healer - everyone with a ute on this forum seams to have one - haha.
Can pick up a polariser for 4500 on eBay right now if you want one - I might stick to a dash bobble toy.

as above it looks like it has had some go better mods with the floor shifter and the couple of gauges under the steering column hint at something other than the old grey?

Good find Gaz, the mutt looks right at home there in the front seat too. Do I spot an earlier speedo with a needle (FE/FC). Keen to see some more pics.

Stephen
