Seagull Grey EK 2106

Post by Craig Allardyce »

Well I'm committed now..........or should be.
Today starts the first day of getting the next and last car back on the road. I am telling myself it will only be mechanicals and a clean up to get it to the 2016 Nats and hopefully road run to WA in 2018. I will try to remind myself of that along the way, but I have a bad memory too

I had a ball in Tonys ute last weekend , its got plenty of character and you don't need to worry about where you leave it , carpark dents etc. 8)
When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

Brett I should have posted pics of under the bonnet and the car. Let alone the timing gear being a worry, she oils the plugs up nicely after a couple of minutes and you can barely start it again. I thinks I need a touch more reliability as the good wife wont be happy if it isn't right as she is driving it to Renmark next year. Oh I didn't mention the brakes!

Yep Blacky that's what I after as it will be my daily as well. 2018 will be the Nullarbor run which will add some more "character" no doubt!

Thats a great looking old ute. fancy it being around all those years and still looking that
fresh and straight. It has a nice red badge and even a tonnau cover by the look of it . Just add some wipers and some old Black and White Vic. plates and your away. Hell, even the front wheels are trying to go cruising!

Can't wait to see your reports, Craig.
I believe my opinion regarding vehicles kept in factory status are well known here - I double dare you to allow this old girl to continue its long life of service.

As for an 8 - find something which has already been subjected to butchery, I fully accept that with your ability and finesse - Belinda would enjoy driving the two, this one is probably one of the rare finds which are becoming far too few.... your car, your call.

frats,
Rosco
