Some more Nats pics

Post by Devilrod »

Ok, I'll throw in some pics from the Nats. Trying not to double up while doing so.

Scooting up the Hume.

Image

Stopped near Benalla after we had passed the Wrong way Bros. aka Trev and Dick.

Image

Image

Out on the Olympic Highway we passed Reece.

Image

The long straight run into Junee for lunch at Mini's.

Image

This was south of Young heading under that bloody train line we'd been following most of the day....

Image

It was about this point Trev and I realized we had let the team down, not one EK in our group. The horror will fade but I still can't wash the stain off after riding in an FB...

Image

So after an evening of refreshments (no drinking water so we had to improvise), noise complaints, faulty heater and a toaster that ejects cold toast we headed down to sign in.

Image

Image

Not sure what happened here, something reared it's head....

So as some are aware, we took the opportunity to make the short drive out to Mount Panorama to see the track. Never realized it was so steep!

Craig's car parked at Blayney while some fueled up.

All lined up...

Top of the hill.

Image

Picture perfect.

Image

Down through the chase.

Image

So now we were warmed up we gridded up for a start.....
Well maybe not.

Image

Image

While there Dave, Mark, his girls and I left our mark of respect.

Image

Image

So with that over, we headed back for some more refreshments. Making the best of a bad situation still with no drinking water, but we survived... Some usual noisy table antics then back to watch the roaring fire in the fire pit get doused at 10:30pm sharp. WTF!!! More improvising this time for heat, luckily Trev cranked up those four stove top burners.... Roasty.......

Now here's a tip don't leave your car unattended when Dave has his brushes out.

Saw this big kid out playing in the park too.

So once presentation was over we headed back to the park for an early night... Thanks to Blacky and the good Doctor that didn't quite happen. So after a lot less sleep than planned we loaded up to head home. Shane pointed out why our heater wasn't working.

Image

So we hit the road, this was just before Shane decided to upset an erratic Mercedes driver who clearly hadn't worked out driving at a set speed, broke up the drive him a little as we were killing ourselves laughing.

Spotto at Albury on his way home from the brasher Nats

Last pic I took before the traffic went mental. Bluehaze and Trev playing in the traffic.

Image

So that's a bit of my Nats trip, sure was fun thanks to the NSW Club now to get my car going!!!

When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.
