Polishing old chrome

Post by Trev »

I am a lazy lazy man, this is why i painted my chrome on the EK about 7 years ago.
I have since got a couple of decent bumpers a few years ago and have never bothered touching them................till today!
My phone camera doesn't work so no pics (sorry).

I read about aluminium foil and coke being a good way to polish them up, I had "silvo" laying around so I used foil and silvo.
They came up really nice, this may be my new addiction.
Off with the painted shit and hello chrome again  .

What do you use?

That's what I've done in the past too but I can't remember it ever coming up as nice as with foil, might be worth a shot

Don't worry, it won't last long.

Just put the bumpers on the EK, I had chrome tail lights, all I need now is the front indicators and bonnet bar in chrome.
