We are planning on going up on the Saturday. We'll have a look at the prise winning gardens and catch up with a few folk then meet you out there on the Sunday.

Will be going if the kids are up to it.
Well I've gotta get over my chest infection first.
And all will be good.
Will have mobile kitchen onboard.

Did you get a pic of the ID plate for me Tim? Looks like Pink and Plum. I don't have that code.

even in this state the mighty FB looks better than their plain old single tone paint sisters

At the museum there was also this trick FJ ute (now garden feature) with XK Falcon front bumper, twin headlights, Commer grill (the headlight peaks were all steel)
The best part was the dash - I think it's Caddy  someone loved it once

That looks like a 57 Chevy pickup dash
When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

Blacky, that sure looks like a 57 truck instrument cluster.
The headlights look like 58 Chevy, but i am not sure about the Commer grill

Would have been a head turner in its day

Rob, that makes two of us!
There is no mention of if the rear of this one is customised as well?
Its a shame to see an old custom like this left to rot.

Rob, It was a great piece of Australiana - you could even tell that it had a "Death Ray" once :P
Tim, I'd say it would have had a valve death ray, mine was the transistorised unit. Not many people know this
but the valve units had a separate and quite large power unit. Most likely why a ute was used.
