Hi All
I'm after some advice on how to proceed.
I purchased a visor for my EK. It has been restored and painted and looks shmick! It needs to be installed now. I assume it needs nuts and bolts to attach the brackets to the roof. Self tappers wouldn't be strong enough???
I also have a dash top that has flaked and needs restoring and re-spraying with clinker grey.
The panel beater/spray painter suggests we take out the windscreen, then we can access under the headliner vinyl to bolt the visor on AND restore the dash top at the same time. Sounds like a plan.
Now I managed to replace the windscreen rubber myself last year...and I am NOT keen to repeat the effort of putting the windscreen back in a second time - it wasn't an easy task. Now I have a visor there too, surely that'll make it even harder to reinstall the windscreen. Won't it get in the way when trying to re-seat the windscreen? My hair is going greyer just thinking about it!!!
Any advice would be appreciated please.

Mate you don't want to bolt it on , would be a nightmare as you say installing the screen and if you ever need to take it off.
I used wellnuts on mine , they are a brass insert in a rubber doover that seals the hole from moisture when tightened , the other option would be nutserts but you will need to either buy or borrow a tool .
The dash can be resprayed with the screen in situ if you are patient

When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

Hi Rapps
The mudflap frames are fantastic. Sam Crupi sent me a full set.
Mudflaps look great too...unfortunately work has been getting in the way of Quality time with the EK They are sitting on the shelf, staring at me every time I rush past.
Yeah the rubber wellnuts look perfect for the visor too. Blacky = champion
