yep the stereo is in but isnt fully optimised yet, still abit of work to go. i will post some pics up in a few weeks when its complete. as for leds, do you have jaycar where you live? thats where i have bought them for my computer in the past, or otherwise alot of ebay sellers in asia have them cheap and pre wired, so that you wont have to solder tails onto them :)

Somone on here has, but I can't remeber who.

Matty, you need to paint the dots on the fuel gauge to match the rest, I made the same mistake the first time, they will look better black, but take care a steady hand is needed.

Hey Blue Ute, Do you mean like this
Image
I used the same method as matty and painted the bezels blue because I couldn't find nice clean bezels without any crazing. I also used Zenon bulbs in the two small gauges to shine a bright white light through the now clear lense as the irredesent paint had been erased. Looks pretty Kool when the lights are all on.
Cheers Theo Z......
PS I have posted this photo before in Matty's hidden wiring post.

Hey Matty, This is the only shot I have and alot hasn't changed.

As the Van is my shop truck and every day driver its hard to do too much and have it on the road the next day. (kids = work) I'll try to get a pic of the dash under lights on my way home from work today. I have been concentrating on the cargo area with fitted carpet and polished flooring. The Van goes in for full body and paint in march, so it should be nice and shiny for Yamba. Also I'm doing the suspension on my sedan at the moment as the rear leaf springs are almost bowing upwards, Nice for that lowered look but drives like a big cushy lounge chair also trying to finish the Kustom desoto grill and cleaning out my engine bay.
Cheers Theo Z.............

Hey Matty, A desoto grill comes from a desoto. Its an american car that sold very well here in australia in the late forties-fifties. The grill I'm using is from a '54-'55 model and have modified the grill ends using "SHOCK HORROR" '57 chevy grill bar ends. I have posted a pic in AHD but I'll put it up here.

The Van Matty is going to be its standard Strata blue and the Red upolstery will be Kustom as well as the full hoodliner.
