Wipers out of whack

Post by Walla Pete »

G'day.
Tested the windscreen wipers on my new EK the other day and when I turned them off they came down but then went half way up and stopped. Tried turning it on and off again but it does the same thing.
Not sure how to adjust them so they stop at the bottom of the windscreen as they are meant to.
I removed them and put them back on but that hasn't helped either.
Any suggestions?

You need to adjust the little hexagonal but in the middle of the wiper motor - mine was doing the same in the red rattler , I pulled the front off the motor and found the nut moved the contacts inside the wiper motor which dictated where the wipers stop moving
When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

In the past I have loosened the crank retainer nut on the motor output and adjusted the crank position so the wipers are at their lower travel position.
Blackys solution does sound easier.
