I believe there are 3 seals for the grey motor gearbox.
I have replace the one at the selectors, and now have the main rear seal to replace.
But I'm not sure what the 3rd seal is, I was told it was a cork seal.
Does anyone know if it is cork and/or what the item number is.?

Re: Gearbox Seals
Just had a look in the manual and I have replaced the upper seal (Transverse selector shaft oil seal), the one under the selector shaft that has a cup over it.
The one I'm trying to identify in the lower seal, "Selector lever shaft oil seal".
The manual says "Soak new CORK seal in engine oil, etc, etc,

Horizontal selector seal
Vertical selector cork seal (has a wave washer and is sandwiched between the lower selector lever and housing - not visible)

Re: Gearbox Seals
Finny,
The vertical-shaft lever (the selector shaft control lever) is a cork o-ring, but could conceivably be done with an o-ring... just. If I had the choice, I'd buy cork sheet from SuperCheap (or use a leftover offcut from a full gasket kit) and cut an o-ring rather than use rubber/neoprene. The small cork o-ring is available in Rare Spares crashbox gasket kit (part number 7405896) for around $20, and also in their overhaul kit (part number 7430864) for around $250. To the best of my knowledge, Rares do not sell o-ring separately. Soak the cork seal in oil overnight, install then tighten the assembly to get the correct crush.

Re: Gearbox Seals
Thanks Guys, that's what I needed.
Harv, I think I'll go with the Rare Spares crashbox gasket kit (part number 7405896), as I'll prefer to get the right fit rather than use cork to cut my own.
Hopefully after that I will have stopped, or at least significantly reduced the gearbox leak.
