Aftermarket Inlet and Exhaust Manifolds

Post by vmx-mxr »

Pics and information wanted !

What started as a wanted add in the Parts Wanted section has turned into something bigger. We kicked and kind hi-jacked the thread with talk of all the different manifolds out there so I figured it better move over here. With respect to Nick he now has more than a few good options for his original request.

Anyway, we have started posting pics we have of old manifolds made by long forgotten businesses (in most cases) which are probably only the tip of the iceberg. If anyone out there has pictures and reliable information on the plethora of aftermarket bolt ons how's about we get a good thread started. I'm not asking Harv to bust his arse doing another thesis (although you are welcome to Harv, they are great!), just a whole bunch of shared knowledge.

Don't stop at the above - information about setting up, tuning, special tools, whatever. Engines are one thing, transmissions and other driveline stuff ditto, but the inlet and exhaust stuff is out there on it's own

Rather than just deal with the Greys how about throw Red options here as well and make it a one stop shop.

Inlet and exhaust stuff - if it bolts onto the cylinder head lets see 'em with detail where possible. I'll throw this to the FE FC guys as well, knowledge shared is knowledge gained blah blah ............

My kick off is on photobucket and will be added to as I go: http://s802.photobucket.com/albums/yy30 ... Manifolds/

Cheers

This one is a marine manifold.
It looks as though it would be a twin or single choice for carbs.
The bases look to be positioned to close to each other to be a triple set-up.

Will three carbs actually fit on?

Im pretty sure you are right ,Jeff. You can only get 2 carbs on.

This Tawco unit is the same in regards to mounting carbs.

One or two,not three.

Repco Highpower intake manifold for the standard grey motor cylinder head. Manifold and NASCO alloy rocker cover vapour blasted by the forum's own Dave Mac.

Image

Manifold came with a two barrel downdraft Weber 24/30 DCZC-1 carb (off a Citroen DS19)

I did have another Rowe the same as this one,but for a marine application with the carb mounting surfaces machined at an angle, but I sold it.Its appearance was otherwise Identical.
