Re: Post your hot grey pics here!
This boat was built by goodlear in 1958. The owner jack casey ordered it as a 40th birthday present to himself.
He purchased this head new directly from repco and then built a race engine around it.
He won many races . With a top speed of 68 mph at 7200rpm the boat was no slouch. I always knew about this boat but always though it was a family heir loom.
Imagine my surprise when I get a call from the son asking if I wanted it. Apparently after jack died the family started fighting over it. The son who purchased the boat from his father decided it was easier to sell it than continue with the family feud.

Well here's what I've started playing with in the shed recently, triple 1 1/4" SU's with manifold, linkages etc.
Had some time spare over the weekend so I started polishing up a few bits and pieces ( I like shiny bits ) I have had them apart for a look inside and they appear in pretty good shape, now that I have finally got a set of SU's I'll take my time so they are setup properly the first time. The original fuel lines were perished although I would have changed them anyway, and most of the screws/bolts will also be replaced. The linkages are quite neatly done and they even have little grease nipples on the joints I have measured up the length from the face of the manifold to the end of the ramtubes and they will be a close fit to the inner guard on my FJ.
Here's a few pics

There was some discussion on this thread waaaaay back about the Drag V rocker covers. I came across this whilst trawling for other stuff:
I dug the $11 out of my wallet ready to post off, but sadly L.K.C Sales office has now been displaced by a television production company
Cheers,
Harv

Nice spot Thommo!
Where did you see this one? I've been looking for something similar for my next project.
