Concessional licence inspections

Hello Members,

Concessional Licence inspections will be carried out on Sunday, 13th June 2010 at 9am at U5/10 Rees Street, O'Connor.

Here are some tips on how to have your vehicle pass inspection easily. You must adhere to the following rules as stated by the Dept of Planning & Infrastructure (DPI) as this is a legal requirement.

1. A descriptive plate reading 'VETERAN', 'VINTAGE', 'POST VINTAGE', 'INVITATIONAL' or 'HISTORIC' MUST be fixed above or below your normal number plate. These plates are available from your Club Registrar. Stickers are available when metal plates cannot be fitted. Advise Club Registrar well in advance if you require a historical plate or sticker as these would need to be ordered from the Council of Motoring Clubs of WA Inc at a cost;

2. All items that relate to road worthiness and safety will be inspected. The vehicle must be tidy and presentable;

3, Current registration papers must be sighted by Scrutineer;

4. Current registration and Concessional stickers must be affixed to front windscreen;

5. You must be a financial member of the Club. Membership card must be produced; and

6. Engine no. and chassis no. must be legible. Wash down your engine and drive line from any oil leaks or road grime in order to access these numbers.

Please do the right thing with your Concessional club Licence as the old car movement has worked hard to get the privilege for you. Abuse it and you will lose it!

Any vehicle that fails the inspection will need to be re-inspected at a cost, if not inspected by the Club it needs to be inspected by DPI and go back on full registration.
Membership and inspection fees are due on the day.
