Nationals trip plan approx.

Post by Trev »

Leaving Wednesday morning from Wonthaggi Vic heading to West Wyalong.
Then to Goondiwindi Thursday.
Hervey Bay Friday.
Taking our time about 700 k's a day.
Anyone got similar plans or near by it would be good catch up and cruise in a group.
Or just anyone in need of help call and I'll see what I can do. Trev 0409506079.

Last time I was on the northern section of the newel hwy [ goat track] about 6 months ago heading down to Edgeroi to pick up the 37 Willys I got showered with stone,s constantly from the near side truck tyres hitting the dirt , took out a screen , 1 H/light & 1 hid spot lamp , paint chipped to buggery & was hanging well back behind , & took out a couple of skippy,s north of goondawindi just givig you all the heads up , nev

dunno what the northern section of the newell is but last time I drove it about 6 months ago from cowra nsw to where ever in QLD (went to Ipswich) I loved the road towing a car trailer 120/130/140kmh no issues but will admit the wavey road north of goondawindi did suck and also wild life in that area (in the morning) was EVERY WHERE closest thing I nearly hit was a family of goats that thought it would be a good idea to cross the road in front of this fast moving green thing

Hi Mick,
I'm going much the same way. Can you recommend a good way after Goondiwindi to get to HB. Not sure with either going via Dalby or Toowoomba. Cheers.
