Thanks for posting the pics up. After fitting the su carbs and making the zoomies I finally got to take the boat out for a run. basically 60 years since it last got wet. It really ran well. I've never driven a stepped hydro before. It was one of the weirdest sensations feeling the boat lift a run in the air. It did between 45_50 mph. My mates reckoned it sounded like an aeroplane with the open pipes.

Re values it ask depends who wants it. It pretty much useless to do anything other than going for a burn for a few minutes and having a giggle. Your wife isn't going to let your kids in it.

Mick, is that the same grey as the one in your EK build thread? What's been done to it?
I wish mine sounded like a plane

I had a good day out today,
the SA Chapter of the Classic Australian Wooden Power Boat Assocation
had a test & tune day down at Goolwa's south lakes.

The CAWPBA are having their Nationals at Lake Talbot, Narrandera later this month, 30th & 31st.
It would be well worth a look if you are anywhere nearby.

these boats are a real credit to their owners,
they are beautifully restored examples of classic race / ski boats.

Dig Treager stole the show with The Sting which he raced back in the early 70's
This thing is awesome, he made a number of runs for the assembled crowd.
