I gave my grey holden powered hydro for a run this morning. The guy I bought it off used that cheap blue compressor hose for the oil lines on the external oil pump. One let go and it wrecked the engine. It still runs but has no oil pressure (didnt turn it off quick enough). I should have gone through that stuff as well. Last time I used it the prop skeg and cav gear almost fell off. I have been replacing all the bolts that have been all coming loose. He didnt use decent bolts or nylocs. Not even spring washers. Anyway heres hoping I just have to grind the crank and replace the bearings. :(

talking over the fence to my neighbour the other day and he said he'd fired up the motor in the osprey (page 2 )pulled the plugs out for a clean turned it over slow for a couple of times with the leads off then ran a fuel line out of a bucket .took half a turn and it fired up like the last time he had it going .that was about twenty years ago .gota love an old holden motor eh'.

Yeah fb they are the ones I got off you. I just cleaned them out. Didn't even put kits in them. after I got it running I found one was flooding up. It turned out the flair bowl breather was blocked. After that the boat just flew.
