I finally finished this the other day. Thanks to the help of a couple of mates (money and time) we ran it two weekends ago.
It was built in 1968 and runs a worked 427 big block. It is the only survivor of two hulls built by the Lewis Brothers.
Still sorting the bugs out now. Hopefully we get it flying.

Saw this on Farcebook Dave, a beautiful looking boat , a real credit to your skills
When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

Thanks Blacky. I've had this boat for ten years but started the resto just over two years ago. The last 18 months my mates pushed me pretty hard to get it done. They turned up one day a week for the whole project. One of them even lent me the money to get the engine done.
I gave one of them the first drive. He ran it at one of the main race meets in front of thousands of people. You couldn't wipe the smile off his face for hours.

Thanks Craig. The boat was a mess when it came in. Everything from the top plank up is new.
