Mikes HK Wagon

Post by MR HP »

hey guys i have bought myself a HK Kingswood wagon lastnight for my first car we pick her up this weekend shes got some maggots top of the L/H/R door small rust bubbles in all four doors rust all through the tail gate (needs a new tailgate) small bit of rust in the bottom of the R/H/R 1/4 pannel a small amount under the front windscreen some in the verry back R/H pilar and some in the top of the R/H/R 1/4 pannel an it has a huge gaping hole in the drivers side floorpan and has some mega dents in the roof were a homeless guy slept   and as you can see in the photos the R/H front gaurd is abit beat up but is fix able and the L/H front gaurd was stripped back and left in the weather

the interior is pretty basic nothing special it has a few rips in the headlining two or or 3 tiny rips in the rear seat it needs new carpet and front seats it has falcon? ajustables the dash facia is very good

it needs a front bumper two new front seats grille badge insert new front floor pans a tail gate a stone tray and new seat belts it has no motor, box or tailshaft but i have a 202 and a trimatic box out of a 1 tonner to go in it and its lowered 2"? all round

and she used to be abit of a hottie in the 80s

it has original hubcaps and wheel trims on fat stockies

same ol story guy bought it for his daughter and now she doesent want it as it sits is how the guy bought it

in the future

evetually i will get some new rims maybe chromies and hub caps or maybe some dragway 5 spokes
it will be getting venetions and a worked 179hp and in a few years time i will probably re-paint it a dark metallic blue

it will be a nice cruiser low allround with a bit of go as well

heres some pics

hi mike ,

wagons are very cool , especially hk's, if you lived in sydney i could help you out with sum goodies ,i have a " spare parts ht wagon " on my property.. but being in wa...its hard....but if ya get stuck please feel free to drop me a pm.
here is a pic of my hk belmont wagon i had a couple of years back. i bought it off the second owner, it was a 186 3speed non syncro box, thats right a factory fitted crash box in a hk... no heater/demister, 4wheel drums no booster, but it had a factory radio and a cigarete lighter ..pale blu trim. it was a very cool car and was very clean.i added the spats, gts hubcaps/sunvisor and rear venitians , over riders . i drove it for around 5 years,.. i sold the car to one of my best mates, (ian)he kept is cool, we fitted disc brakes and put in a full syncro box, gts dash, sterring wheel, he had it for a couple of years unfortunatly he was stricken with cancer had to sell the car..sold it to another "mate" who was "gunna" do it up, yeh he pulled it apart left it sittin. after my mate passed i decided to track the car down as i wanted to buy it back to restore. i found the previous owner and he had just on sold the car to a guy who used it at "parra speedway" yep a smash up derby car...no b/s! ...but here is a pic of the hk in its glory days!

the good part of the story my is Ians dad is currently rebuilding a ht prem wagon (factory 308 auto, lsd diff, power steering and power windows ) that ian started to restore just before he passed...

mr hm

ps ...hq to hz wagon ventians will fit into your wagon...

Yep...

I think Torquay Blue was an '80s commonbore Calais colour. Looks 8) 8) 8) on that HK wagon (but then again, I've got a soft spot for HKs; sadly, I just sold my HK ute... :( and I'm regretting it already )

cheers, jack
