Hey guys,
A photo that may explain it a little better.
So in essence you get 2 collapses, 1st one from the engine side then the drivers side, hence the breakaway tabs.
I done a lot of research with this a few years ago and initially it did my head in as well !
Regards Greg

Cool bananas , was looking at it wondering which way they were meant to work but that explanation makes sense
When you're faced with an unpleasant task that you really don't want to do, sometimes you just have to dig deep down inside and somehow find the patience to wait for someone else to do it for you.

Looks good Greg , getting close now . You have done a lot of hard yards , both on the car and the house along with possibly more time at work than you had rather .
Perseverance and skills you have , along with a will to succeed , many would have folded a long time ago . This will be a well earned day at the rego office when it happens .
Cheers

I would rather work on a Morris 1100 than use a computer !!!!!!

Hi Kelleigh54,
Yes indeed it has been a long haul ! I think what keeps me going is that I have had he car for 30 years as it was once my grandfathers passed on to me when he died. I pretty much drove the wheels of this thing with a couple of grey engine failures then the red motor then the 4 speed etc etc until this.
Don't worry I get the shits big time when I see a chrome bumper car going past with the driver having a smile as big as a rainbow it does get me down.
Anyway thanks for the inspiration hopefully this time the only distraction is work the necessary evil !!!
Regards Greg

Re: Chev EK
A Bit more bodywork,
Bloody hell the door gaps are hard to get right, they are perfect around the skins but crap around the windows and vice versa !
Because the middle spacer panel was damaged years ago I cut it out and have started filling in the gaps so to speak, looks like a few weekends welding grinding to get all the gaps right, this is enjoyable actually (I'm sick I know !)
Regards Greg

Re: Chev EK
Ok so one door done without the filler panel between the doors and gapped appropriately. Nice and time consuming took me all day to get the door right so no filler is required.
Ground back and tweaked
Gap is now great
I will start the rear door today but instead of adding metal I will have to remove some and re weld the edge.

I may have missed it in your thread, but what's your front brake set up going to be?
